HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are investigating a death after a body was discovered near a retention pond in northwest Harris County on Sunday.
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Hollister Road around 6 a.m.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared details of the investigation on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man, possibly in his 20s, deceased in a parking lot near West Little York. The body appeared to have been there for a few hours and had visible gunshot and stab wounds.

The sheriff’s office is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
