HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A man is facing charges after he allegedly took his estranged partner’s car with their child inside, leading to an ongoing legal situation.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at a Walmart located in the 1300 block of Fry Road. The man and woman, who have been separated for about a month, were at the store when the man took the woman’s vehicle while their child was inside.
The vehicle was later found at the Buc-ee’s in the 27700 block of Katy Freeway in Waller County.
The man is now charged with aggravated robbery for the car theft. He will first appear in court in Waller County before being returned to Harris County. The case is currently under investigation by family violence detectives.
