An 18-year-old man who was named as a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Buckner Terrace was arrested last week, according to online jail records.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Feb. 19, officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 9200 block of East R.L. Thornton Freeway service road, according to Dallas police. Officers found Jacob Cohen, 25, shot inside a business in the area. He was pronounced dead at the location, police have said.
The following day, police said they had identified two suspects, including Jameson Mills, whom they believed were responsible for the shooting. Online records showed that Mills was booked Thursday into the Dallas County jail. He is facing a capital murder by terror threat or other felony charge, and his bail is $1 million.
It is unclear if Mills has an attorney.
A second person — a juvenile — was also taken to the hospital after they were injured in the shooting, police have said. Authorities later said that the juvenile was also a suspect in the fatal shooting. As of Monday evening, it is unclear if the juvenile, who also faces a capital murder charge, was cleared from the hospital.
