Malaysia’s Minister of Trade, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, has announced a significant trade achievement, confirming that the country has successfully secured tariff exemptions from the United States for several key export items.
In a statement released on Sunday, the trade minister highlighted this development as a major boost for Malaysia’s export sector.
He detailed that the products benefiting from this exemption include crucial Malaysian commodities such as palm oil, rubber, and cocoa, as well as high-value aerospace equipment. This move is expected to enhance the competitiveness of these vital industries in the American market.
Minister Zafrul Abdul Aziz also clarified Malaysia’s broader trade strategy, noting that the nation’s minerals agreement is not exclusively limited to the United States, indicating a diverse approach to its international economic partnerships.
