Karachi, Pakistan – The Government of Sindh has taken a significant step toward ensuring transparency and accountability in its public procurement process. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has instructed all government departments to issue future tenders and procure all official equipment exclusively through the Electronic Procurement Evidence (E-PaDS) System.
According to the Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Murad Ali Shah has made the use of E-PaDS mandatory to ensure transparency at every level across the province. He explicitly stated that no alternative for governmental procurement will be acceptable moving forward.
The Chief Minister commented: “Public confidence is restored only through a transparent system. All departments of the Government of Sindh must conduct their procurement processes through the E-PaDS system. No alternative to E-PaDS in tendering is acceptable.“
He further elaborated on the system’s importance, noting that the E-PaDS system is integrated with procurement systems across the country. He believes that adopting this modern approach will strengthen competition and increase opportunities for both national and international companies, thereby not only improving government efficiency but also delivering better services to the public.
