A local court in Lahore has extended the physical remand of six officers from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) by three days. They are accused in a major bribery case involving Urooj Jatoi, the wife of famous YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which is investigating its own officers in this scandal, informed the court that a staggering amount of over 25 million rupees (2.5 Crore) has been recovered from the accused officials so far.
The FIA presented the six officers, including Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, before the court as their initial remand expired, requesting more time for the investigation.
The investigative report submitted to the court provided a shocking breakdown of the recovered money:
- Addl. Director Sarfraz Chaudhry: 12.548 million rupees
- Ali Raza: 7 million rupees
- Asst. Director Shoaib Riaz: 3.648 million rupees
- Yasir Gujjar: 1.9 million rupees
- Zawar: 0.9 million rupees
The court granted the request, ordering the officers to be presented again on November 3. This follows the court’s decision yesterday to also grant a three-day physical remand for NCCIA’s Deputy Director Usman in connection with the same bribery case.
