Pedro Pascal’s sister, Lux Pascal, has just now spoken candidly about her brother’s inclination in selecting projects. Pascal notably starred as Joel, the father of Bella Ramsey’s character, in The Last of Us.
In the second episode of the recent season, a character named Abby killed Joel to avenge her father’s murder. At the 2025 Platino awards, Lux openly discussed with Remezcla her experience of watching her brother’s character die in the series.
“I have to say that being Pedro Pascal’s sister, I knew how that episode would end,” she noted. “I knew what was going to happen. But even so, I saw it and I wanted to throw the iPad.”
Referring to his previous roles in Game of Thrones and Equalizer 2, in which his characters were also killed, Lux continued, “It’s not the first time he’s done it to me.”
“It’s not the second time he’s done it to me. I think it’s the fourth time he’s done it to me. Because how many deaths has he had?”
“Game of Thrones, Equalizer 2, The Last of Us — each is more violent than the other… seeing my brother die that way, I didn’t like it at all,” she added before concluding her remarks.
The final episode of The Last of Us is scheduled for release on May 25, 2025
