Lahore Qalandars assistant coach Riaz Afridi, the elder brother of team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, was taken to hospital on Tuesday after suddenly falling ill during a training session.
According to sources, Riaz experienced a drop in his blood sugar levels, which led to his condition deteriorating. He was promptly rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Riaz had represented Pakistan in one Test match in 2004.

Separately, the Qalandars must win their final match against Peshawar Zalmi on May 9 to secure a spot in the playoffs of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X).
The playoff race intensified after the Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans, dramatically altering the points table. The Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Qalandars have collected nine points from nine matches, making their final fixture a do-or-die contest.
