King Charles III, who remains deeply committed to upholding the monarchy, has turned down Prince Harry’s offer to return as a part-time working royal, respecting the late Queen’s stance on the matter, according to a royal aide.
Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, disclosed the reality of Prince Harry’s future within the royal family, stating that the 75-year-old monarch maintains a strong position on the issue.
“The King feels much like his late mother – there is no half in, half out,” Harrold told GB News.
Harrold further explained that if Prince Harry were to return, it would require a full commitment to royal duties. “If Harry does come back, he can’t do his media work and be a royal. It’s not something they would support, endorse, or want any connection to,” he added.
Meanwhile, some reports suggest that Harry has “no interest” in returning to the UK or resuming his previous royal duties, though there is speculation that he might be open to temporarily assisting if King Charles were to request it. However, this assistance would require an apology from Prince William before Harry would represent the family in any capacity.
Commenting on the situation, Harrold noted, “If the King were to ask him to return and be involved, he would expect Harry to be fully focused on royal duties without hesitation.”
