King Charles and Queen Camilla will host French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at Windsor Castle in July, according to an announcement made by the palace in a social media post on Tuesday.
The palace shared a photo of King Charles and Queen Camilla with Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron to accompany the announcement.
The palace announcement reads, “The President of the French Republic, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by Mrs Brigitte Macron, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from Tuesday 8th July to Thursday 10th July 2025.”
It further stated, “Their Majesties The King and Queen will host the President and Mrs Macron at Windsor Castle.”
This major announcement comes after King Charles issued a stark warning about “global uncertainty” in a recent address at Windsor Castle.
King Charles, 76, was speaking at the Household Cavalry New Standards Parade alongside his sister, Princess Anne.
As reported by GB News, addressing the gathered regiments and wearing full military attire, the monarch spoke of their importance “at such a time of global uncertainty.”
He said, “It is of crucial importance to preserve the attributes of excellence and achievement for which you are famous, and which are symbolized by these Standards.”
