Khloe Kardashian, the prominent reality TV personality, has recently opened up about the criticism she faced after losing weight. During a recent episode of her podcast, “Khloe in Wonderland,” she engaged in a discussion with influencer Whitney Simmons about her fitness and mental health journey.
Facing Accusations of “Betrayal” from the “Bigger Community”
Khloe revealed that her weight loss drew significant criticism, with some individuals even labeling her a “traitor to the bigger community.” She shared the negative comments she received: “‘I’m not myself, I’m not funny anymore, I’m not all the things that I still am at my core,’ I just aesthetically look a little different.”
Embracing Personal Happiness Over Public Approval
However, The Kardashians star noted that she has ultimately “came to terms” with the impossibility of pleasing everyone. She stated, “You know what, I’m never going to make everyone happy. But am I happy? Okay, cool.”
Recalling Past Perceptions of Her Body
The Good American founder also reflected on her self-perception before her rise to television fame: “I never thought I was fat until I got on TV and everyone told me how fat I was.” Khloe Kardashian added, “I didn’t know I was fat. What’s interesting is, looking back, I’m like, wait, I actually wasn’t as fat as even I convinced myself that I was. But it was a different time, too. People were so thin during that time.”
