The recently announced results for the 2025 Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) First Annual Examination from the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) highlight the strong academic performance of this year’s students. Female candidates continued their trend of outperforming their male counterparts across all academic fields. Furthermore, private institutions secured the majority of top positions, with Punjab Group of Colleges leading the way.
Out of the 335 top positions across nine Punjab boards and the Federal Board, government and semi-government institutions earned 52 (16%) while private institutions secured 283 (84%). Punjab Group of Colleges dominated the private sector with 143 positions, accounting for more than half of the total private share.
