Kate Cassidy is paying tribute to her late boyfriend Liam Payne with a new tattoo. On Tuesday, September 2, the influencer took to her Instagram account to share a video of herself getting new piercings and tattoos.
Cassidy opted to get a small wilted rose inked, mirroring the same tattoo that the former One Direction member had on the left side of his neck, as a heartfelt tribute to him. However, Cassidy chose to have it done on the back of her right hand, just below her thumb. She kept the video’s caption simple, using a red wilted rose emoji to match her new ink.
A Series of Tributes
For those unfamiliar with the tragedy, the singer-songwriter passed away at the age of 31 after a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina on October 16, 2024. This recent tribute follows Cassidy’s acknowledgment of Payne’s 32nd birthday on August 29 with a montage of throwback videos of their cherished memories.
Cassidy had previously honored Payne with another tattoo just two months after his death. She posted a photo of a matching angel wings tattoo on her right index and middle fingers, a symbolic gesture for the late singer, whom she had referred to as an “angel” in a tribute posted just two days after his death. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam,” she wrote at the time.
