Karachi, Pakistan – A school van caught fire on the Shah Faisal Colony Bridge, leaving five children slightly injured. The fire occurred in a van carrying students from Merghy Khanah, a residential area of Gulshan-e-Society. The van was completely destroyed, and the driver, Farooq, managed to escape the scene. The injured children were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to the police, one of the children has a sprained ankle, while the other four are out of danger. The school van was carrying the children’s lunch, bags, and water bottles, which were also destroyed in the fire.
Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Langoor has directed the SSP of Korangi to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, a leaked audio message of PTI Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram has sparked controversy. Akram has been released from the Australian cricket series.
In other news, the French Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Ali Akbar, a Pakistani-French man, on receiving an award for his services to France.
