A New Legal Setback for Kanye West
Kanye West’s sexual assault lawsuit persists, with his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, making a key legal move.
Pisciotta, who filed a lawsuit against West in June 2024 for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination, has now requested the court to allow her to serve West via a newspaper after an “extensive investigation.”
Pisciotta added sexual assault allegations, claiming her drink was spiked during a music studio session. West has previously denied all allegations, labeling them as “baseless.”
The father of four, currently in Japan, has not yet formally responded to the lawsuit.
According to new court documents, “Kanye West aka YE has not been served despite extensive investigation and efforts to effectuate personal service.” The documents also mention, “Plaintiff personally served the agents for service of process for Kanye West’s alter ego entities YEEZY, LLC, YEEZY FOOTWEAR, LLC, and YEEZY APPAREL, LLC.”
The case was filed on January 22, and the next hearing is scheduled for January 29 in Los Angeles.
