According to the Korea JoongAng Daily, Coupang, the South Korean e-commerce firm and ticketing platform, Interpark, announced the cancellation of Kanye West’s concert and the suspension of Yeezy merchandise sales “due to recent controversies surrounding the artist.”
While the specific controversies were not detailed, they clarified that all tickets sold for the event, which was scheduled to take place at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, would be refunded.
It is important to note that Kanye West, now known as Ye, has exhibited considerably controversial behavior across various domains.
From allowing his wife, Bianca Censori, to stand nude at the 2025 Grammys to posting inflammatory and antisemitic social media outbursts via X, formerly Twitter, the 47-year-old has frequently been in the news.
In March, he sparked outrage by wearing a KKK outfit and a swastika necklace, also claiming he never desired to have children with his former wife, Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children.
In May, Kanye released a track titled “Heil Hitler,” which quickly became a “summer anthem” for neo-Nazi groups, further escalating the controversies surrounding him.
