Justin Baldoni’s lawyer has taken a dig at Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively following their appearance on SNL50: The Anniversary Special.
For those unaware, Blake Lively, 37, filed a legal complaint against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of inappropriate behavior.
On Sunday, February 16, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds cracked a joke that seemed to hint at his wife’s legal case.
During the show, hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey gave a shout-out to the Hollywood couple, saying, “Oh, hi, Ryan Reynolds! Ryan Reynolds, how is it going?”
To this, Ryan responded with an awkward expression, saying, “Great… why? What have you heard?”
Recently, Justin’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, addressed the joke during an appearance on Billy Bush’s Hot Mics podcast.
He stated, “I’m unaware of anybody whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation. That surprised me.”
The lawyer further added, “People are judged by the public for years—canceled, stripped of their projects, ridiculed, and shunned—immediately after allegations arise.”
Notably, Justin Baldoni has denied all accusations and has since filed a defamation and extortion lawsuit against Blake Lively.
