Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Senator Kamran Murtaza stated on Friday that Fazlur Rehman had not extended support for conducting any operation.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV program “Mere Sawal With Absar Alam,” Murtaza said: “Apparently, it seems as if ways are being sought to intervene in Afghanistan. We need to remain cautious and take any steps vigilantly,” Siddiqui added.
“The policies originate from elsewhere, as Maulana Fazlur Rehman has pointed out,” stated Murtaza.
He said, “Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not received any offer from the PTI.”
“Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not made any demands for a portfolio,” said Murtaza.
“We need clarity regarding the reservations we have from the past,” said the JUI-F leader.
“Ali Amin Gandapur was present in the meeting. Perhaps it was the first time he greeted us in a good manner,” said Murtaza.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui said: “The news regarding the talks between the United States and Afghanistan is positive for us. It is in our interest to see a peaceful Afghanistan that collaborates with the rest of the world.”
“Zalmay Khalilzad’s attitude remained negative. Zalmay holds no portfolio under the Donald Trump administration,” said Siddiqui.
Recalling the train tragedy, Siddiqui said, “Events like the train tragedies occur rarely worldwide. The train incident sparked an uproar on social media, with sympathy extended towards the terrorists.”
“If necessary, operations will also be conducted,” Siddiqui stated.
He recalled the events of May 9, saying, “What would have been the reaction if the May 9 incidents had happened in any other country? We have not even managed to convict anyone for the May 9 mayhem.”
“Despite the incidents, the administrative head of KP stands against operations,” said Siddiqui.
