Following the announcement of a ceasefire between Pakistan and India, citizens poured onto the streets of major cities to celebrate the cessation of hostilities and the heroic response of the Pakistani military.
Celebrations erupted in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Hyderabad, and numerous other cities across the country.
Late the previous night, India had launched multiple missile attacks on Pakistani airbases, including Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot airbases.
In response, Pakistan initiated ‘Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos’ against India, targeting several bases and successfully destroying their advanced S-400 air defense system.
Subsequently, US President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that Pakistan and India had agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire” after four days of strikes and counter-strikes targeting each other’s military installations.
