JoJo Siwa has opened up about the development of her relationship with Chris Hughes.
During her recent appearance on the Rosebud podcast, JoJo spoke glowingly about Chris, recounting what initially drew her to him.
“When he first walked in, he was the only person that I knew what they looked like before coming into the show,” she revealed.
While the two often supported each other within the Big Brother house, JoJo specified when their bond truly deepened.
“We just kind of bonded right away and it started very much so as friends. I wasn’t looking to fall for him. He wasn’t looking to fall for me. We just were having so much fun together,” she explained.
She went on to recall a particularly emotional moment from their time in the house, saying, “There was a day – it was Easter – and he was having a really, really rough day…”
JoJo Siwa continued, “He came out of the diary room and he was like ‘I had a stomach ache’. And I looked at him and I was like ‘you’re not good’. And I just gave him a hug… He really opened up and he wasn’t ok, he really wasn’t ok. I was able to be there for him.”
It’s worth noting that these comments come amidst criticism regarding JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes’ relationship, with some fans questioning if their connection is merely a public relations stunt.
However, JoJo had previously addressed this skepticism, telling The Guardian that she is “absolutely head over heels” for Chris.
