Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn, married for 18 years, maintain a unique but clear financial arrangement: they keep their individual finances entirely separate. This rule, which they revealed during a Thursday appearance on Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, has been a cornerstone of their marriage.
“We keep our money completely separate,” Romijn stated. The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actress added that this was “one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together.”
While their personal finances remain distinct, the couple does share a joint account for household and children’s expenses, which they affectionately refer to as a “family pot.” Jerry O’Connell explained how they manage contributions to this shared fund: “I have to say, we actually throttle how much money we put into that account sometimes.” Romijn elaborated, “The one who’s not working gets a little bit of a break and the one who is working puts in a little more. And we really tag-team with work.”
Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn exchanged vows in 2007, following three years of dating. They are parents to two daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. Before her marriage to Jerry, Rebecca Romijn was married to actor John Stamos.
