Lopez, 55, took the stage to reflect on the significance of family and the role of motherhood, particularly in portraying Judy Robles, the mother of subject Anthony Robles. She praised Judy Robles for her dedication to her children, saying, “It was a pleasure and honor to not only meet but portray a woman who poured her heart, soul, and her blood, literally, into her children, teaching them that nothing is more important than family.”
Lopez, who is navigating a high-profile divorce from Affleck, drew parallels between her role and her own life, stating that Judy Robles’ story of overcoming obstacles and leading by example resonated deeply with her. Although Affleck, 52, was not present at the event, Lopez’s comments reflected the couple’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing their children amidst their separation.
Affleck and Lopez, who married in July 2022, had blended their families. Affleck has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez has twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Despite their divorce, both parents remain focused on their children’s well-being.
