Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers have openly discussed their close friendship, which blossomed while they were working together on the series Wednesday. In an interview with Seventeen, the two actresses candidly shared what they admire about each other.
Myers began by saying, “I love her so much. We have such a fun time together.” She highlighted the support she received from Ortega, who is also a producer for the show’s next season. “She’s producing this next season so she had a lot more creative input and was always telling me, ‘If there’s something you don’t like or something you’re not comfortable with, let me know and I’ll be your person.'” Myers added, “She definitely was looking out for the cast, but she’s also such a great friend.”
Ortega, the star of the upcoming film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, praised Myers in return. “Emma Myers, as a friend, is incredibly generous, patient, and charming. I feel really lucky to have gotten to know her.” She also expressed her enjoyment of their time together. “Love her throughout the years be able to spend so much time with her. You know, we’re from very different places, so I love being locked in random foreign countries with her for eight months at a time,” Ortega said.
The main cast of the series will return for season 2, with Ortega reprising her role as Wednesday and Myers as Enid. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will also be back as Morticia and Gomez, respectively. The first part of the season, which consists of four episodes, is scheduled to be released on August 6, 2025.
