Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently disclosed that his 15-year-old son, Augustus, is poised to begin his career in acting.
Speaking with PEOPLE magazine, the 59-year-old American actor, who has a son and daughter, George Virginia, with his wife, Hilarie Burton, shared, “He’s ready to drop out of school and be an actor. I think that he’s known that since we took him to Hamilton when he was 3 years old.”
Recalling taking his son to the Broadway show, Morgan mentioned, “We went backstage after the show, and he went out on stage dressed up like Hamilton.”
“I just remember watching him and going, ‘He knows exactly what he’s going to do right now.’ He’s really good,” he added.
For those unaware, Augustus showcased his acting talent when he performed alongside his father in the final season of the apocalyptic drama The Walking Dead, marking his debut in the entertainment industry.
Notably, he had a brief appearance in the fifth episode of The Walking Dead season 5 as a young walker, a series where Morgan portrayed the character of Negan.
It’s worth noting that the Grey’s Anatomy star also posted some behind-the-scenes photographs on his Instagram of his son in full zombie transformation and expressed in the caption that he was “super proud” of Augustus.
Furthermore, Morgan also shares a son, Dean, with actress Sherrie Rose.
