The Information Technology University (ITU) in Lahore recently held an exciting International Distinguished Lecturer Workshop in collaboration with CISS-Global, IEEE, ACM, SPIE, and OPTICA. This event brought together some of the world’s most respected experts in technology and engineering right here in Lahore!
These brilliant minds delivered fascinating lectures on really cutting-edge stuff like electromagnetics, RF and microwave engineering, metasurfaces, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and other game-changing communication technologies.
The workshop turned out to be a real source of inspiration for ITU students and faculty. It gave them some fantastic and rare opportunities to dive deep into these subjects and also helped build connections with people working on the international stage.
The whole event was made possible thanks to the support of Vice Chancellor Dr. Adnan Noor Mian, Dr. Tauseef Tauqeer (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), and Dr. Muhammad Qasim Mehmood (Chairperson of the Electrical Engineering Department). They put together an amazing lineup of distinguished speakers from leading institutions around the globe.
Some of the big names who shared their expertise included Prof. Stefano Maci from the Università di Siena in Italy, Dr. Goutam Chattopadhyay and Dr. Imran Mehdi from IEEE/Caltech in the USA, Prof. Muhammad Ali Imran, Prof. Qammer H. Abbasi, and Dr. Hasan Abbas from the University of Glasgow in the UK, Dr. Sulekha Chattopadhyay from the California Environmental Protection Agency in the USA, and Prof. Levent Sevgi.
