The Islamabad Police has achieved a historic milestone with a record-breaking 1039 promotions in the past year. According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, 5 head constables were promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), while 38 constables were elevated to the position of head constable. This year, 10 DSPs were promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and 27 inspectors were promoted to the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Additionally, 94 sub-inspectors were promoted to the rank of inspector.
The spokesperson further revealed that 189 ASIs were promoted to the rank of sub-inspector, 311 head constables were promoted to the rank of ASI, and 388 constables were promoted to the rank of head constable. Furthermore, 40 clerical staff members were also promoted to the next level. In a statement, the IG Islamabad emphasized the importance of promoting deserving officers, stating that Islamabad Police officials work tirelessly to serve the public 24/7.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions in Sindh has intensified its crackdown on private educational institutions that have failed to implement the Freedom of Information Act 2013 and the Sindh High Court’s judicial order No. 1592/2025. MQM sources claim that Shumaila Imran Farooq was under treatment in a London hospital due to cancer.
