Widespread Search Conducted in Capital to Curb Criminal Activity
Islamabad Police have initiated a large-scale ‘Grand Search and Combing Operation’ within the precincts of the Margalla Police Station, with authorities stating the primary objective is the prevention and eradication of crime in the area.
According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, the operation was executed under the supervision of the SP City Zone and saw the participation of both male officers and personnel from the Ladies Police contingent.
During the extensive security sweep, records indicate that 75 individuals were stopped, checked, and searched. Furthermore, the teams systematically inspected 15 residential houses and 5 commercial shops as part of the drive to flush out criminal elements.
The crackdown was not limited to persons and properties; a detailed check was also carried out on transportation. Police officials inspected a total of 40 motorcycles and 30 cars, reviewing their documentation and general status.
The Islamabad Police spokesperson emphasized that such thorough search operations are a vital component of the strategy to maintain law and order, counter adverse activities, and ultimately ensure a safe and secure environment for the residents of the federal capital.
