The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has approved the bail applications of seven PTI workers who were arrested in connection with the November 26th protest.
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the post-arrest bail petitions and granted bail to all seven defendants. The court ordered their release upon submission of surety bonds of 50,000 rupees each.
Lawyers Sardar Masroof, Murtaza Toori, and Aamna Ali appeared in court on behalf of the defendants. The PTI workers were charged in a case registered at the Ramna police station.
Previously, Civil Judge Ahmad Shehzad Gondal had rejected their bail petitions. The defendants then filed an appeal against that decision, which the sessions court approved.
