Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has publicly expressed his profound love, respect, and devotion for veteran actor Dharmendra following a visit to him in the hospital. Salman Khan not only credited the legend as a major professional influence but affectionately declared him to be a “father figure.”
Speaking to the media, Salman Khan conveyed his sincere wishes for Dharmendra’s quick recovery, stating: “Dharmendra holds the status of a father to me, and I pray for his speedy recovery.”
Highlighting the deep impact of the senior actor on his own career and personal discipline, Salman added that Dharmendra is his biggest fitness inspiration. He voiced confidence, saying he is hopeful that the legend will return to Bollywood soon after recovering completely.
Recalling Dharmendra’s stature in the industry when he first started, Salman said: “When I entered the film industry, only two or three people were considered huge stars, and Dharam Ji was foremost among them.” He reiterated his heartfelt sentiments: “The bottom line is that he is like a father to me, I love him, and I am hopeful he will be back soon.”
Salman Khan, who flew to Qatar after visiting Dharmendra in a Mumbai hospital, passionately expressed his affection by chanting slogans for the veteran actor during his visit. The respect is mutual, as Dharmendra affectionately refers to Salman Khan as ‘Beta’ (son) and once stated that Salman would be the best choice to portray him in a biopic.
