In a shocking turn of events, the police in the Indian state of Goa have arrested a 32-year-old Russian citizen, Alexei Leonov, on charges of murdering two women. According to reports, Leonov allegedly killed the women on January 14 and 15, respectively, in his personal room after they failed to repay a loan. The police claim that the accused had no prior plan to commit the crime, but rather acted in a fit of rage.
The victims have been identified as a dancer and another woman who had borrowed money from Leonov. The police say that Leonov was mentally unstable, often under the influence of substances, and would easily get agitated over minor issues.
Leonov’s phone records have revealed over 100 photos of women and two men, leading to speculation about his potential involvement in other crimes. The accused had a long-term visa in India and had worked in various cities. He had been unemployed for the past month and was residing in Goa.
