In a shocking and tragic incident in Ludhiana, Punjab (India), a national-level kabaddi player has been shot dead, allegedly during a dispute with his own friends.
According to police, 26-year-old Tej Pal Singh was traveling with two friends toward a factory in the Jagraon area. An argument reportedly broke out among them on the way, sparked by an “old enmity.”
The verbal dispute quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. During the fight, an unidentified person, who was accompanying Singh’s friends, pulled out a pistol and shot Tej Pal directly in the chest.
Disturbingly, the shooting occurred just a short distance from the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
Tej Pal Singh was rushed to the hospital, bleeding profusely, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Police have stated that a manhunt is underway to find the assailant.
