Indian efforts to disrupt the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have failed as international players show strong support for the tournament.
The PSL’s vibrancy has returned despite various Indian manoeuvres aimed at undermining it. Tomorrow, Peshawar Zalmi will take on Karachi Kings at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi in what promises to be a thrilling clash. Both teams are bolstered by the presence of international stars.
Foreign Players Choose PSL Over IPL
Several top-tier international cricketers, including Mitchell Starc, have opted out of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
For Karachi Kings, the line-up includes David Warner, Tim Seifert, Ben McDermott, James Vince, and Mohammad Nabi — all ready for action.
Peshawar Zalmi, meanwhile, have welcomed Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Max Bryant, Najibullah Zadran, and Luke Wood to their squad.
Islamabad United have also finalised their foreign player roster, which includes Jimmy Neesham and Tymal Mills.
Modi Embarrassed as Attempts to Derail PSL Fail
India’s repeated attempts to empty Pakistani stadiums and sabotage cricket in the country have backfired. The PSL stage is once again set to draw international attention and participation.
The global cricket community’s willingness to play in Pakistan, contrasted with their refusal to play in the IPL, has been seen as a major diplomatic and sporting setback for India.
