Indian Comedy King Kiku Sharda Expresses Desire to Visit Pakistan: Craves Lahore’s Parathas and Karachi’s Biryani

Dallas, Texas: India’s renowned comedian and actor Kiku Sharda, known globally for his iconic roles in “F.I.R,” “Comedy Nights with Kapil,” and “The Kapil Sharma Show,” expressed his desire to visit Pakistan during an exclusive interview with Jago Times News in Dallas. He shared, “I want to visit Pakistan, though I haven’t made any attempts yet. But now I definitely will because I can feel the love from the people there. If given the opportunity, I would love to go and meet my fans.”
He added that through social media, he has learned that he has many fans in Pakistan and would especially like to visit major cities like Lahore and Karachi. Kiku Sharda further said, “We have always appreciated Pakistani humor. A lot of incredible work has been done in the field of comedy in Pakistan. I have watched Anwar Maqsood’s famous show Loose Talk extensively, which has been my all-time favorite.”
Kiku Sharda mentioned that he had previously visited Dallas with Kapil Sharma, but this time he came for his solo shows. He stated, “The American shows are fantastic, and the audience here, including people of Pakistani origin, is very receptive. In comedy, it’s essential that the audience understands and enjoys the humor.”
He added, “I reprised my old characters like Bachcha Yadav, Palak, and the comedic version of Sunny Deol here, and making people laugh always brings joy.”
When asked about whether there’s any personal sorrow behind his cheerful persona, Kiku Sharda laughed and replied, “I don’t think I have any specific grief. I am fine from within and happily do my work. The joy of making people laugh is indescribable. Seeing people smile because of us is the greatest happiness.”
On being asked about Navjot Singh Sidhu’s return to The Kapil Sharma Show,he shared, “So far, Sidhu Sir has returned as a guest for one episode, but what happens next, only time will tell.” He added, “We’ve done many memorable episodes with Sidhu Sir. His one-liners were fantastic, and we surely miss him. During the recent episode, many old memories came back. Let’s see what the future holds.”
Addressing the South Asian community living abroad, he advised, “Don’t complicate life too much. When you complicate your life yourself, problems arise. Keep your mind calm and live life easily. With laughter and joy, life can be made much simpler.”
