Indian authorities have restricted access to the social media accounts of several high-profile Pakistani athletes.
According to reports in Indian media, the social media accounts of Pakistan’s national cricket team captain, Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, have become inaccessible to users within India, as reported by various Indian news outlets.
Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic champion and national javelin thrower from Mianwali, has also faced the same restriction on his digital platform. Indian media further stated that the social media accounts of additional Pakistani cricketers, including all-rounder Shadab Khan, fast bowler Haris Rauf, and pacer Naseem Shah, have also been blocked in India.
From Karachi, Shahid Afridi, the former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, has experienced a similar disruption on his official social media profile.
