Dallas, Texas: A grand Independence Day celebration was organized in Irving under the banner of “Stand with Pakistan”, becoming a lively display of passion and national unity. The event saw an impressive turnout, with young people, families, men, women, and children from the Pakistani community joining in. The waving green crescent-and-star flags and the echo of patriotic songs filled the air with love for the homeland.
Throughout the day, rallies were held across different parts of Dallas, with cyber trucks and car parades decorated with Pakistani flags, playing patriotic songs to honor Pakistan and its armed forces. The rallies concluded in Irving, where the main evening event took place.
The ceremony was hosted by Sohail Pirzada and Faiza Qazi, who extended special gratitude to Ali Khawar (owner of Texas King Restaurant) for his timely support in making the event possible. Sohail Pirzada also read out a message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif:
“India, our accounts are settled. We want peace. The choice is yours.”
He further shared the words of Field Marshal Asim Munir:
“Pakistan is not just a piece of land—it is the blood in our veins, the honor in our hearts, and the trust of our martyrs. We extend the hand of peace, but if tested, we will respond with the full might of the nation. Pakistan will endure, Pakistan will succeed, and Pakistan will never bow.”
Renowned Dallas-based singer Faisal Akhtar enthralled the audience with patriotic songs, including special tributes to Pakistan’s armed forces. His powerful voice and passion stirred the crowd, with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoing throughout the venue.
The driving force behind Stand with Pakistan—Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Fasih Haider, and Sohail Pirzada—were joined by leaders including Iftikhar Darpan, Qaiser Naqi Imam, Nadeem Akhtar, Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada, Sabeel Abbasi, Syed Aftab Siddiqui, Shaukat Muhammad, Ali Khawar, Ayaz Syed, and others, who addressed the gathering. They emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s independence, national unity, and the vital role of the diaspora community.
On this occasion, presidents of Pakistani student associations from U.S. universities—Muskan Awan (UTA-PSA), Maryam Ashiq, Huria Mehdi, and Ahmed Asif—were presented with awards in recognition of their services. Also present were Pakistan Society of North Texas President Attorney Naeem Sukhia, Abid Baig, and other community leaders.
The evening concluded with a complimentary dinner hosted by Texas King Restaurant, where attendees enjoyed authentic Pakistani flavors. A special cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark Pakistan’s birthday. From children to elders, the entire community joined in national songs and festivities, making the Independence Day celebration truly memorable.
The day ended with a renewed pledge: that even while living abroad, the Pakistani community will continue to uphold the spirit of love, unity, and sacrifice for their homeland.
