Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Barrister Aqeel Malik said on Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan aims to involve the army in politics by writing a letter.
While speaking in Taxila, Malik took a jab at the PTI founder, saying, “It seems as if the PTI founder’s next letter will be addressed to United States President Donald Trump.”
“For how long will this double standard continue? Instead of focusing on letters, there is a need to prioritize the well-being of the masses,” Malik stated.
He further said, “The Pakistan Army has repeatedly clarified that it has nothing to do with politics.”
A few days ago, during an appearance on Samaa TV’s program Mere Sawal With Absar Alam, Malik remarked that PTI should first address the concerns raised by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Speaking on the same program, the adviser to the prime minister on legal affairs acknowledged the challenges faced by the government and emphasized that every day brought a new test.
He asserted that the government’s primary focus remains on public welfare. Malik said, “The government undoubtedly faces difficulties, and each day presents a fresh challenge.”
