Dallas: The stage is set for a grand celebration of Indian cinema as the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024 announces its Technical Awards Winners.
The much-awaited IIFA Festival 2024 will take place from September 27th to 29th at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence. Organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, this event will honor the excellence in Indian cinema across various technical categories.
The festival kicks off on Friday, 27th September, with IIFA Utsavam, celebrating the diversity of South Indian cinema. The excitement will rise on Saturday, 28th September, with the prestigious IIFA Awards, followed by the IIFA Rocks event on Sunday, 29th September, an invitation-only affair recognizing technical excellence.
The IIFA Rocks event will shine a spotlight on outstanding technical achievements, including Cinematography, Screenplay, Dialogues, Editing, and Choreography. Other awards will be presented for Sound Design, Sound Mixing, Background Score, and Visual Effects. This celebration emphasizes the crucial role technical brilliance plays in creating memorable cinematic experiences for audiences worldwide.

Cinematography: G. K. Vishnu for Jawan
Screenplay: Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Jaskunwar Kohli, Anurag Pathak, Aayush Saxena, Vikas Divyakirti for 12th Fail
Dialogues: Ishita Moitra for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
Editing: Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Animal
Choreography: Bosco – Caesar for Pathaan
Sound Design: Sachin Sudhakaran, Hariharan M for Animal
Sound Mixing: Sampath Alwar, Chris Jacobson, Rob Marshall, Marti Humphrey for Jawan
Background Score: Harshavardhan Rameshwar for Animal
Visual Effects (Special Effects): Redchillies.VFX for Jawan
Additionally, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee will host the IIFA Rocks event. Known for their vibrant personalities and outstanding performances, both actors expressed their excitement to lead this glamorous night of music, fashion, and film.
Siddhant, who was honored as Best Supporting Actor at IIFA 2020, shared his enthusiasm:
“I’m thrilled to return to IIFA, this time as a host. The energy and excitement are incredible, and I can’t wait to bring something special to the stage.”
Abhishek Banerjee, riding high on the success of Stree 2, echoed his excitement:
“IIFA brings the entire film industry together, and being part of this celebration as a host is truly a dream come true.”
Alongside the technical celebrations, the festival will see performances from stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, and Shahid Kapoor, with Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar also set to host parts of the award ceremony.
