Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has released the latest rates for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters, which will no longer be installed free of charge.
As per the new pricing structure, a single-phase AMI meter with a 20-meter cable is priced at Rs. 35,000. Consumers opting for a single-phase connection with a 40-meter cable will need to pay Rs. 38,000.
For three-phase connections, an AMI meter with a 20-meter cable will cost Rs. 65,000, while a three-phase meter with a 40-meter cable is set at Rs. 110,000.
IESCO has already replaced over 550,000 old meters with AMI meters at no cost to consumers, ensuring they benefit from advanced technology. However, new connections will now require consumers to pay for AMI meters.
IESCO has confirmed that the installation of AMI meters will take place in Rawalpindi city, Cantt, and Taxila divisions.
