The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the complete schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, with hosts India set to kick off the marquee tournament on September 30 in Bengaluru against Sri Lanka. Due to diplomatic sensitivities, all of Pakistan’s matches will be held at neutral venues, with Colombo confirmed as their base for the tournament.
One of the most anticipated fixtures, the Pakistan-India encounter, is scheduled to take place on October 5 in Colombo. The Pakistan women’s team will commence their campaign on October 2 against Bangladesh. Their second fixture, a high-voltage match against traditional rivals India, is set three days later.
Australia will face New Zealand on October 1, while Pakistan’s clash against the Australian side is scheduled for October 8. Other matches in Pakistan’s group stage include encounters with England on October 15, New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and Sri Lanka on October 24.
According to the schedule, the first semi-final is slated for October 29 in either Guwahati or Colombo, with the second taking place in Bengaluru on October 30. The final of the tournament is scheduled for November 2 and may be hosted either in Bengaluru or Colombo, depending on whether Pakistan qualifies for that stage.
The official announcement of the schedule by the ICC has already generated significant excitement among fans, particularly regarding the prospect of a Pakistan-India showdown on neutral soil.
