Pakistani tennis star and new President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Aisam-ul-Haq, has stated he is fulfilling all promises made to the players, emphasizing his focus on action over rhetoric.
In a conversation with Geo News, Aisam reflected on his professional philosophy: “I believe in working, not talking. Even when I played, I spoke less and showed my worth with the racket.”
He announced significant achievements for Pakistan tennis, revealing that the country has been allotted 7 ITF Junior tournaments, providing a major platform for young talent.
Highlighting the most significant development, he said, “We have been awarded an ATP Tour Challenger for the first time. This is like an ICC event in cricket.”
Aisam-ul-Haq also noted that 12 new national tournaments have been added to the domestic circuit and that prize money for players has been increased.
He reaffirmed that merit is now the top priority, with junior players traveling abroad to compete. He made it clear that the system is changing: “It will no longer be the case that only those who have money will get to play abroad.”
