Two 18-wheelers crashed in separate accidents Thursday morning and shut down Interstate 35E in Denton for several hours, officials said.
Denton Fire Department said on Twitter the crashes happened after 4 a.m. The highway was shut down in both directions between Dallas Drive and Teasley Lane.
The fire department said a driver was trapped in an overturned truck in the northbound lanes. No additional information about the accidents was available.

About 5 a.m., the fire department said on Twitter that one southbound lane reopened near Lillian Miller Parkway. The northbound highway remained closed as of 6:50 a.m.
