ISLAMABAD: Following a special directive from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has dispatched a crucial consignment of 100 tons of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people via a dedicated special flight. This move underscores Pakistan’s highest commitment to providing urgent relief during the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
The substantial aid package includes essential life-saving materials such as vital medicines, tents for emergency shelter, blankets for cold weather, and water cans. The shipment was officially seen off from Lahore Airport by Special Assistant to the PM (SAPM) Talha Burki.
SAPM Burki affirmed that Pakistan has consistently stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of Palestine. He emphasized that the continuous supply of aid reflects the nation’s shared values, Islamic fraternity, and deep moral responsibility toward the affected population.
Burki also extended commendation to the coordinated efforts of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and all welfare organizations involved, particularly highlighting the Al-Khidmat Foundation for their rigorous support in achieving this critical humanitarian objective.
With the departure of this latest consignment, the total number of aid shipments sent by Pakistan to Gaza has reached 26, confirming a sustained and nationally coordinated humanitarian effort.
