Houston swerves onto new list of U.S. cities with the worst drivers

Contrary to popular belief, Houston’s drivers rank better than those in many other U.S. cities, as per a recent study conducted by Forbes Advisor. Titled “Cities With The Worst Drivers, Ranked,” the report, published on February 8th, evaluated the driving habits of the 50 most populous U.S. cities across various metrics. These metrics, calculated per 100,000 city residents using data from 2017 to 2021, included the total number of fatal car accidents, the number of fatalities resulting from car crashes, and the number of fatal car accidents involving drivers impaired by alcohol, distracted driving, or speeding.
