Goa, India – The Indian state of Goa is reeling from a catastrophic fire that erupted inside a nightclub in the Arpora district, tragically resulting in the deaths of 23 people, including staff members and tourists. The devastating incident reportedly occurred after a cylinder exploded inside the club, causing the blaze to rapidly engulf the premises.
Responding to the severity of the tragedy, Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident.
The Chief Minister stated that the probe will ascertain whether the nightclub adhered to the necessary fire safety regulations and building codes. He emphasized the need to determine if this tragic loss of life could have been prevented.
