At New York’s iconic Barclays Center, Pakistani-American boxer Jahanzeb Rizwan made history on Sunday night by delivering a stunning knockout against American opponent Trayon in the second round — marking one of the most memorable moments in his professional career.
Wearing a striking outfit in the colors of the Pakistani flag, Rizwan entered the ring to the thunderous cheers of a crowd filled with Pakistani-American fans. The arena came alive with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad”, as the green and white flag waved proudly among the spectators.
From the opening bell, Rizwan dominated the fight with confidence and precision. His relentless punches forced Trayon into a defensive stance. By the second round, a flurry of powerful blows sent the American boxer crashing to the canvas — sealing Rizwan’s emphatic victory before the referee could finish the count.
The moment transcended sport — it became a celebration of national pride and perseverance. As Rizwan lifted the Pakistani flag inside the ring, the Barclays Center echoed with jubilation.
Among the crowd were Pakistan’s Consul General Aamir Ahmed Atozai, leading figures from the Pakistani-American community, and Rizwan’s family, including his father Raja Rizwan, who watched proudly as his son made history.
Speaking to the media, Rizwan said:
“This victory is a blessing from God. Representing Pakistan and making my country proud means everything to me.”
Rizwan previously clinched the Golden Gloves title and represented Pakistan in the France Olympics, further solidifying his place as one of the brightest stars in modern boxing.
