Actress and author Hilaria Baldwin has reportedly made startling revelations about her life with husband Alec Baldwin in her forthcoming memoir, Manual Not Included.
In her book, set to be released on May 6, Hilaria, now 41, admits that she was “ready to walk away” from the 67-year-old Rust actor and even “took her rings off” at one point during their marriage.
Hilaria confessed that they “fought a lot” as Alec was frequently traveling for work, leaving her alone in New York to care for their daughter Carmen and their dogs.
“It really p***** me off, and I didn’t hesitate to tell him so. That year was probably the rockiest for us, and not just in terms of juggling a baby and a toddler.”
In excerpts viewed by The Sun, she continued, “I was so focused on how I thought things should be, and Alec was so set in his ways. Neither one of us would budge. I took my rings off as a sign that I was potentially ready to walk.”
The mother of seven also claims in her memoir that Alec was responding to emails and taking calls while she was in labor with their son Rafael, who was born prematurely, and that he returned to work immediately after the birth, which she found “disrespectful.”
However, the couple, who have been married since 2012, ultimately decided to work on their relationship and renewed their vows on their fifth wedding anniversary in 2017.
