The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for Azad Kashmir, forecasting heavy rainfall over the next 12 to 24 hours and warning of a possible flood situation.
According to the NDMA spokesperson, intense rain is expected in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Sharda, Haveli, and Kotli. There is a risk of flooding in urban and low-lying areas, while landslides may occur in mountainous regions. Residents living near rivers, streams, and low-lying areas have been advised to remain alert due to the possibility of a sudden increase in water flow. The NDMA has instructed the public and relevant authorities to take precautionary measures and to stay away from vulnerable and low-lying areas.
