HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The severe storms that swept through Houston have created potentially hazardous conditions for commuters as they head into Friday.
With debris scattered across roadways, downed power lines, and traffic lights out of operation, drivers should exercise caution.
Eyewitness News documented the aftermath of the destructive thunderstorms that battered southeast Texas on Thursday.
In downtown Houston, shards of glass littered the streets on Dallas near Louisiana, a result of powerful winds that blew out windows in numerous high-rise buildings.
Additionally, strong gusts uprooted two trees on Vine Street, narrowly missing a man’s truck.
Given the presence of fallen trees and power lines, motorists are advised to proceed with care on the roads.
