Harry Potter is making a significant return as an HBO TV series.
HBO confirmed key cast members for the series on Monday.
On Instagram, the streaming giant shared a series of photos of the actors slated to portray major roles in the upcoming Harry Potter series.
Following the announcement of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley in the new series, nine more faces have been revealed for roles in the first season of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
The images included Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, the mother of Harry’s best friend Ron in the series, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy.
Additionally, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge have also been unveiled.
HBO has reportedly stated that each of J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter novels will be adapted into a season of television.
The statement read, “The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter book series by author and executive producer J.K. Rowling.”
It further stated, “And will feature an exciting and talented cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail and much-loved characters Harry Potter fans have adored for over 25 years.”
