The fifth edition of the four-day “Hajj Conference and Exhibition” has commenced in Jeddah under the compelling slogan ‘From Makkah to the World,’ emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to integrating modern technology into the management of the Holy Sites. Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, used this platform to provide a crucial update on the preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.
Expressing confidence in the readiness for the world’s largest Muslim congregation, Dr. Al-Rabiah announced that over 60 percent of Hajj agreements for the next season have already been finalized. He assured attendees that the remaining contracts will be completed at least four months before the start of the Hajj season.
The Minister elaborated that overall preparations stand at 50 percent completion, with accommodation and hotel arrangements surpassing 70 percent completion. The aim is to finalize all remaining preparations before the beginning of Dhu al-Qadah, ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims. Dr. Al-Rabiah also proudly reflected on the previous Hajj season, describing it as the “best in the last 50 years.”
Highlighting the kingdom’s focus on digital transformation, Dr. Al-Rabiah stressed that the Nusuk application, enhanced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, will propel services to a new stage of development. The application has proven highly successful in facilitating services for pilgrims, with its user base now exceeding 40 million. These extensive preparations reflect the Saudi government’s unwavering commitment to making the spiritual journey of the Hajj as comfortable and spiritually fulfilling as possible.
